"Leader," a beautiful Barnevelder rooster
"Leader" is a beautiful Barnevelder rooster with a great temperament, raised inside a house around small kids and dogs (hatched April 1, 2024). He was supposed to be a she, but turned out a he. He shows no aggression to other chickens or people, is used to being picked up, and has no spurs yet. He is very friendly and social. He has gorgeous double laced feathers, with iridescent green, and other colorings in black and brown. Amazing plumage. The hens of this breed lay an average of 200 eggs per year, or 3 or 4 large, brown eggs per week per hen, so they're good producers. We hope you will consider "Leader" for your flock!
