"Homer" the Black Copper Maran needs a new home!

This healthy Black Copper Maran is now 10 weeks old and is looking for his forever home. Homer was hatched from a set of Serenity hatching eggs in our Elementary school classroom and has been such a beloved pet to us. While we are unable to keep within the city, he will make a wonderful family pet who enjoys snacking on soldier fly larva treats, being pet and held, and is very curious about his surroundings. You can see the students and teachers absolutely adored and cared for this sweet bird from egg to chick to adolescent chicken!

Including photos from his many adventures.

Adopt Digby!

Digby is half white silkie and half chamois spitzhauben, 6 mo old. He is a sweetheart and was hand raised with lots of love. A bit shy but he will jump on your shoulder and treat your hens like queens. He also makes the cutest little sounds, a very chatty gentleman.

Roo the Dog like Rooster

Meet Roo, our Rhodes Island Red rooster with a heart as warm as his feathers. A true late bloomer, Roo took his time finding his confidence, but don’t be fooled—he’s still very much a barn boss. He carries himself with quiet authority, keeping an eye on everything while remaining exceptionally sweet and people-friendly.

Roo is gentle, curious, and wonderfully playful. One of his most charming quirks is that he loves to play fetch with our dogs’ squeaker ball, eagerly chasing it down and proudly engaging in the fun. His favorite snacks are cherry tomatoes and pumpkin, which he accepts with great enthusiasm.

Unfortunately, because we live in the city, we need to rehome Roo so he can live somewhere better suited to him. He would make a fantastic addition to a flock for someone looking for a confident yet kind-hearted rooster with personality to spare. 🐓💛

“Coco Bear the Silky Rooster”

Coco was thought to be a hen in the beginning and was held and spoiled with love and attention on a daily basis. He grew to be a sweet and gentle rooster. He was reluctantly put up for adoption recently due to his owner not being able to have a rooster in the neighborhood where we live. If the situation was different we would have kept him. He would make a loving addition to any family that adopts him. Thank you for considering adopting Coco.
