Sweet Gray Silkie Rooster Looking for His Forever Home

Ice Cream is a handsome gray Silkie rooster with a classic sweet, gentle silkie personality. He’s been a fantastic chicken, and zoning is the only reason we have to give him up. We're hoping someone will give this special little guy the home he deserves.

About him:

  • Beautiful gray Silkie

  • Very sweet and gentle

  • Protective and attentive with his flock

  • Would make a wonderful addition to an existing flock of girls, or a great pet for someone who appreciates chickens

🐓Meet Pedro (formerly Pearl!) - Our Surprise Rooster Looking for His Forever Flock ❤️

Pedro came to us as “Pearl” because we believed he was a little girl. 😂 As he has grown, Pearl has officially become Pedro, and our beautiful surprise boy is now looking for a safe, permanent home where he can continue doing what he already seems born to do, look after his flock.

Pedro is a gorgeous young Easter Egger-type/mixed cockerel with beautiful silver-gray coloring, rich mahogany-red wings, and the beginnings of adorable little cheek puffs.

🐔 Pedro is a natural flock leader and protector. He has always taken on the leadership role with our flock. As evening approaches, Pedro lets everyone know it's getting close to bedtime and helps make sure the flock gets safely inside the coop. During free-range time, he herds the girls together as they travel to and from the run and keeps track of where everyone is.

Even at his young age, he is already…

Ruby The Rooster

Meet Ruby — a very good boy looking for a new flock 🐓

We’re heartbroken to be looking for a new home for Ruby, our young rooster. We aren’t allowed to keep roosters where we live in Centennial.

Ruby has been raised by us since he was a chick (4/18) and is kind, calm and non-aggressive with people. Even better, he has turned out to be a wonderful little leader to the four pullets he was raised with. When it was time to introduce the younger chickens to our established hens, Ruby and his sisters joined the older flock with flying colors. He watches out for his girls, stays with them and has fit beautifully into the flock without causing trouble. He's friendly, smart and good with people.

He’s also an exceptionally handsome guy, with copper-red feathers, an iridescent black-green tail and the beginnings of what we think will be…

Meet Rusty

Rusty is a red silkie rooster hatched on 4/13/26. He is a confident guy and interacts with everyone he meets but he is gentle and great with kids. He didn’t always want his adult humans to pick him up, but he was fine with his 9 year old human bestie picking him up and holding him. He loves treats, especially dried worms and eggs. He’ll go wherever you ask, including voluntarily closing into a pet carrier as long as you give him a snack. He is a super handsome guy and would make a great pet for a backyard flock.

Meet Bingo

Bingo is a bantam cochin frizzle rooster, hatched 4/13/26. He is such a curly little guy! His feathers are actually quite long and if he gets a little wet in the rain they get flowy and fabulous. Then he dries out and becomes his funny little self again :). He is friendly with kids and other chickens. He doesn't like being picked up yet but will step onto a flat hand for his favorite treats- dried worms and scrambled eggs. He is the first one to come running when we enter the yard and call to him and he does enjoy napping on his humans if they sit down with their legs out for him to lay on. He doesn't like to fight with other chickens and has been great with all the hens.

Meet "Where"

Where did “Where” get such an unusual name? Well, when we decided to get chickens, the 9 year old girl in our family started dreaming of them day and night. She dreamed she found a white silkie in the forest named “Where”, so when we got a white chick that became its name. Unfortunately, we can’t keep roosters so when Where started crowing (sounding more like a muppet than an actual rooster) we had to give him up. Where is a sweet boy who has been raised around kids of all ages. He enjoys evening snuggles with his humans, and he’ll sleep on their legs while they stroke his soft back. He has also started letting people including kids pick him up. If you want a soft fluffy buddy Where might be the right guy for your flock. He was hatched on 4/13/26

Turbo ❤️🐓

After a move into a new home with more space, we decided we wanted some feathered friends to join our family. We chose 4 baby chick hens, or so we thought. We were surprised when one of our chickens grew right into a speedy, confident rooster. His early signs of athleticism earned him the name “Turbo”. We have loved Turbo for his leadership and protection of the flock. We also love him for giving us his trust. He is great with physical touch, letting us and our 2-year-old pick him up and give him pets. We would love to keep Turbo, but unfortunately our circumstances don’t allow us to do so. We are looking for a family to take him in and give him a long, loving life.

He is a buff Orpington and born March 13th 2026.

Meet Beaker – Looking for the Right Forever Home

Beaker is a handsome 1-year-old Silkie rooster with a big personality packed into a small body. He may be little, but he’s incredibly brave and takes his job as flock protector seriously. He’s always keeping an eye on his hens and is quick to step in to break up squabbles, making him a wonderful flock guardian.

His crow is beautiful and surprisingly not overly loud. He grew up in a neighborhood where many of our neighbors enjoyed hearing and seeing him, but due to city ordinances, we can no longer keep a rooster.

Beaker is good with children. While he doesn’t enjoy being picked up or handled, he’s comfortable around people and will happily eat treats from your hand. He’s accustomed to living with both Silkie hens and standard-sized hens and does well with both.

We’re looking for a loving home where Beaker can continue doing what he does best—caring…
