Roo the Dog like Rooster

Meet Roo, our Rhodes Island Red rooster with a heart as warm as his feathers. A true late bloomer, Roo took his time finding his confidence, but don’t be fooled—he’s still very much a barn boss. He carries himself with quiet authority, keeping an eye on everything while remaining exceptionally sweet and people-friendly.

Roo is gentle, curious, and wonderfully playful. One of his most charming quirks is that he loves to play fetch with our dogs’ squeaker ball, eagerly chasing it down and proudly engaging in the fun. His favorite snacks are cherry tomatoes and pumpkin, which he accepts with great enthusiasm.

Unfortunately, because we live in the city, we need to rehome Roo so he can live somewhere better suited to him. He would make a fantastic addition to a flock for someone looking for a confident yet kind-hearted rooster with personality to spare. 🐓💛

“Coco Bear the Silky Rooster”

Coco was thought to be a hen in the beginning and was held and spoiled with love and attention on a daily basis. He grew to be a sweet and gentle rooster. He was reluctantly put up for adoption recently due to his owner not being able to have a rooster in the neighborhood where we live. If the situation was different we would have kept him. He would make a loving addition to any family that adopts him. Thank you for considering adopting Coco.

Meet Helen The Rooster

As you may have guessed from the name, Helen was a bit of an accident...an accidental rooster. We set out hoping to hatch a sweet little hen from our beloved Chicken Magma before her passing, but life had other plans. Out popped Helen, full of surprise and personality.

From the very start, Helen showed us what a good rooster could be. He watched over his ladies faithfully, making sure they were safe from every shadow and wing in the sky. He watches the sky faithfully and alerts when he sees anything that could be a danger. He adored his human family, tolerated his two loyal Aussie companions, and most certainly did not appreciate the cat who thought the flock was its playground.

Helen came from a beautiful family line of Blue Cochin, Black Cochin, and a touch of Ameraucana. Beyond his good looks, he had a good heart. He is…
