Bernie the Ameraucana

This is Bernie. He is a drop dead gorgeous Ameraucana rooster. We got him as a chick in June 2023. He was bread with Isabel Wheaton Ameraucana genes, although I don't really see Isabel or Wheaton in his coloring. Instead he is an amazing mix of browns, caramels, oranges, yellows, and iridescent green tail feathers. He is striking in the sun.

For temperament, he is kind and has not shown aggression -- even to our high energy dogs. He loves his hens regularly calling out and chatting with them and is ever vigilent for predators.

On top of it all, he is an ameraucana so he carries the ever coveted blue egg laying genes.

Carrot the Rooster

Carrot is new to the Gentlemen's Club as of April 2025 and is ready for a new flock to join. He was raised in a child-friendly, dog and cat friendly home so is used to sharing space with others. He is friendly and non-aggressive. He purrs at piano music and only crows in the mornings before he gets his day started. He is an Araucana chicken, a breed that produces beautiful blue eggs and he has the cutest fluffy cheek feathers you ever did see. This special Roo needs some new BFF's (Best Feathered Friends)!

Isn't he pretty?!

Meet Chippy and Sugar

These two boys (Chocolate Chip- black, Sugar Cookie- grey) were hatched in my 1st grade classroom in April 2024. They are good with kids, dogs, and cats. They're probably not going to run up to you (unless you have good treats like blueberries!) right away, but they'll warm up. They love to talk. They always announce good food to their girls and let them have first bites. They free range in my backyard. I'm devastated to have to rehome them and so is my daughter. I've never had to do this. But they need more than two hens. I'm not in a place to get more girls right now. I hope they find their forever home here, preferably together but I know that's hard.

If anyone adopts these boys, we'd love an update. We miss them so much. ❤️

Hot Rod

Hot Rod is a 4 month old, curious & as his name implies, quite a handsome fellow. He was raised & held frequently as a chick with other pullets. Hot Rod will trot out to greet you to see if come bearing treats, but he is not aggressive with our hens, dogs, or people visiting our backyard. I would love to keep him but can't due to zoning restrictions in my neighborhood prohibiting roosters. His crow (so far) is fairly moderate but unmistakable.
