Hello! My name is Candy and when I was brought home with 2 other chicks everyone was under the impression I was a girl, my mom however questioned it since the beginning. She likes to be right but she definitely didn't want to be right this time! Unfortunately I'm too loud for where we live and I love crowing! My family wishes they could keep me and are very sad to see me go but I know I will find a great home! I like to see myself as caring and a protective rooster! I am good at watching over my hens and I love finding them food! They also tolerated my shenanigans lol! I do good with dogs and cats unless you keep trying to sniff me or my girls, but I will just peck you and continue enjoying my time with the girls! I dont mind being held, it's not my favorite but I allow it! If you let me I will pretend to be a parrot and stand on your shoulder! I'm also a sucker for treats and I love salmon every now and again! I do well with kids, you just have to be patient and have treats! The youngest I've been around is 7 years old. As you can see I got some frostbite on my waddle so my mom brought me in for a week to let it heal. Negative 6 is no fun!! She fells awful that it happened but I'm pretty tough and I'm doing better now! I will just be unique with a different shaped waddle! I'm so handsome too that you won't even notice ;) I also would love to have my own flock to care for!
If you think I would make a good addition to your flock, reach out and come see me! My mom would also love to stay updated with how I'm doing! Like I said my family's very sad to see me go but I know I will be loved as much as they love me!
Wonderful story and photos. How heartwarming.
