Roc is the type of gentleman that steals the hearts of all the ladies. He is deeply loved by Laurie his first human mom.
Laurie demonstrated such kindness and love to Roc that he seems to prefer his human friends more than other chickens.
When his manly voice got to be a warning that city life was not his thing. Laurie moved him into her house to help reduce any negative response from her neighbors.
Then, Roc stole the heart of Serenity Sprouts. We knew he was special and felt he would be perfect as an emotion support pet. We began a search for the right family. His new mom, Julie, fell in love with him at first sight. So much so, that he was her first choice and any hens added to her flock would need to appreciate him.
Julie's daughter is looking into how to officially register Roc as an emotional support animal. She is going to make him her high school service project and take him to assisted living centers.
Regardless of your religious beliefs, this was such a miraculous blessing for Roc, the cuddling Rooster!
Julie was kind enough to add some follow up photos.
"I put Roc in my daughter's lap for some petting. He was very curious. This is me holding him for the first time."
"I let the flock explore the "big pen" aka horse paddock. They stayed in their little group and checked everything out. They really liked the barn. The previous owner had an alpaca house in there. If we decide not to get another horse I might convert this into the winter coop. My husband wants to spoil them and give them the best house possible!" - Julie
