Ruby The Rooster
Meet Ruby — a very good boy looking for a new flock 🐓
We’re heartbroken to be looking for a new home for Ruby, our young rooster. We aren’t allowed to keep roosters where we live in Centennial.
Ruby has been raised by us since he was a chick (4/18) and is kind, calm and non-aggressive with people. Even better, he has turned out to be a wonderful little leader to the four pullets he was raised with. When it was time to introduce the younger chickens to our established hens, Ruby and his sisters joined the older flock with flying colors. He watches out for his girls, stays with them and has fit beautifully into the flock without causing trouble. He's friendly, smart and good with people.
He’s also an exceptionally handsome guy, with copper-red feathers, an iridescent black-green tail and the beginnings of what we think will be some pretty spectacular rooster plumage. We believe he may be an Olive Egger or Olive Egger/Welsummer-type cross.
If you have room in your flock for a young rooster with a great temperament, Ruby would love to meet his new ladies. ❤️
