Our wonderful Raven. Cuckoo Maran. 4 months old. He’s quite a docile boy. Our hens are all in perfect condition. He won‘t charge people or children. He’s more inclined to herd the hens to safety. He does lead the flock and they follow nicely. He’s alert too, and looking for danger so he’s protective of the girls. We don’t know how he would act if presented with a true threat though. I handled all of our chicks daily and would raise their wings, and play with their beaks and feet. If you can catch him, he will allow you to do just about anything with him for a while. Sad to see him go, but we, like many, can’t have Roos in the city.
