Jane Foster - Now Thor

It was with a heavy heart that I brought Jane (now Thor) back to Serenity Sprouts today. He was one of three Bantam Cochins that came to live with me in July, to replace some flock losses that I had suffered. He was born on 6/29 with his two sisters (Pepper and Natasha) and came home with a few other chicks.

He was the most social of the bunch, the most likely to come to the front of the brooder to investigate, the first to make a brooder escape to investigate the room. And then came the big red comb and the bright red comb. I had a feeling he was going to turn out to be a roo. He did not disappoint, joining in with my therapy Bantam Cochin roo (Rex) in announcing the morning. Sadly, I already have more roos (11 or possible 12) than I need and I didn't want him to end up in the bachelor flock, getting picked on as the new kid. I want him to find a nice family who appreciates his personality, his sense of humor, and his amazing handsomeness. I know he will make a family happy and I appreciate Serenity Sprouts for their amazing policy and providing him a place to crash until he finds his forever home.
